Jeg er utdannet sosionom, sivilingeniør, tolk, hjelpepleier og har en mastergrad i interkulturell kommunikasjon. I tillegg har jeg støttefag i juss og praktisk-pedagogisk utdanning (PPU). Denne tverrfaglige bakgrunnen gir meg en solid plattform for å forstå, analysere og håndtere utfordringer knyttet til kulturelt mangfold og globalisering – både i offentlige og private sammenhenger.
Gjennom spesialisering i interkulturell kommunikasjon har jeg utviklet evnen til å identifisere muligheter og foreslå konstruktive løsninger på komplekse flerkulturelle problemstillinger. Mitt vitenskapelige arbeid undersøker skjæringspunktet mellom kulturell dynamikk og institusjonell beslutningstaking, med særlig vekt på rettslige utfall som påvirker multikulturelle befolkningsgrupper.
Min primære forskning undersøker kulturelle forskjeller i norske domstolers avgjørelser vedrørende barn med innvandrerbakgrunn, og diskuterer hvordan kulturelle misforståelser og strukturelle gap kan påvirke utfallet av barnevernssaker.

I am a trained social worker, civil engineer, interpreter, auxiliary nurse, and hold a Master’s degree in Intercultural Communication. I also have academic grounding in law and practical pedagogical training (PPU). This interdisciplinary background provides me with a solid foundation for understanding, analysing, and addressing challenges related to cultural diversity and globalisation—across both public and private sectors.
Through my specialisation in intercultural communication, I have developed the ability to identify opportunities and propose constructive solutions to complex multicultural issues. I possess in-depth knowledge of globalisation processes and their impact on communication, working life, and societal development.

My scholarly work examines the intersection of cultural dynamics and institutional decision-making, with particular emphasis on judicial outcomes affecting multicultural populations.
My primary research investigates cultural differentials in Norwegian courts’ decisions regarding children with immigrant backgrounds and discussed how cultural misunderstandings and structural gaps can influence the outcome of child protection cases.

Riziki N. Saleh har bred og tverrfaglig erfaring fra helse- og sosialt arbeid, med over 20 års praksis fra både kommunale tjenester i Norge og sosialarbeid i Uganda. Hun er utdannet vernepleier med master i flerkulturelt forebyggende arbeid for barn og unge, og har solid kompetanse innen miljøterapi, veiledning, integrering og samhandling i flerkulturelle kontekster.
Gjennom arbeid i bofellesskap, asylmottak og barnevernsrelaterte tjenester har Riziki opparbeidet sterk kulturkompetanse, konfliktløsningsferdigheter og evne til å bygge tillit på tvers av språk og bakgrunn. Hun har særlig erfaring med enslige mindreårige, utviklingshemmede voksne og eldreomsorg.
Riziki snakker flytende norsk, engelsk, swahili og luganda, og har i tillegg gjennomført en rekke relevante kurs innen traumebevisst omsorg, vold i nære relasjoner, radikalisering og integreringsarbeid.

Riziki N. Saleh brings extensive and multidisciplinary experience in health and social care, with more than 20 years of practice in both Norwegian municipal services and social work in Uganda. She is a qualified social educator with a Master’s degree in multicultural preventive work with children and youth, and offers strong expertise in therapeutic support, integration work, guidance, and cross-cultural collaboration.
Her work in residential facilities, asylum centres, and child welfare-related services has given her deep cultural insight, strong conflict resolution skills, and the ability to foster trust across languages and backgrounds. She has particular experience supporting unaccompanied minors, adults with developmental disabilities, and elderly individuals.
Riziki speaks fluent Norwegian, English, Swahili, and Luganda. She has completed numerous relevant courses in trauma-informed care, domestic violence, radicalisation, and integration practices.
